ballot initiative, Idaho, Medical Marijuana
With only three weeks left until the signature-gathering deadline, Idaho’s medical cannabis campaign has several locations across the state where registered voters can add their signatures.
If you live in Idaho and haven’t already done so, sign the petition for a medical cannabis program in Idaho this weekend!
The Natural Medicine Alliance of Idaho has done a great job organizing events and collecting signatures to give Idaho a chance at a much-needed medical cannabis program!
The Idaho Legislature has been steadfastly opposed to cannabis policy reforms, so this ballot measure may be the only chance to improve Idaho’s cannabis laws for years to come. Lawmakers have even placed a measure on the 2026 ballot that — if approved — would bar voters from ever legalizing any drugs in the future!
Last year, the Idaho legislature passed a $300 mandatory minimum fine for cannabis possession. And recently, the Legislature passed a resolution urging “the citizens of Idaho to reject any effort to bring the Idaho Medical Cannabis Act to the ballot.” The need for Idaho citizens to fight for their own medical cannabis reform has never been more crucial.
For all the medical patients in Idaho who would benefit from a program — let’s make 2026 the year Idaho allows this natural medicine!
