Three More Members of UK’s Drug Advisory Board Resign

The resignations keep piling on in Britain, weeks after that nation’s chief drug adviser, Prof. David Nutt, was fired for publicly criticizing several UK government drug policies, including a recent decision to strengthen marijuana penalties.

Today, three more members of the Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs were reported to have resigned in protest after they were unhappy with explanations offered by Home Secretary Alan Johnson, the man who demanded Nutt’s resignation. The resignations of Simon Campbell, Dr. Ian Ragan and John Marsden now bring to five the number of people on the once 31-member board who have left in protest since this saga began.

Holy Smokes. These brave doctors. Taking a stand against the tyranny of prohibition and censorship of the medical field. I did not know so many LEO’s were smarter than the doctors. Where did all these LE doctors get their medical training?

(does anyone else feel like this snowball gets bigger and bigger every day?)

Yes.It will start an avalance soon. Cannabis will be legalized. Freedom is what is desired, but my friends, when cannabis is legalized, that will just be the start. TRUE FREEDOM begins when we force government to do as we wish…always. We cant stop just with cannabis. Our freedoms have been under assult for a very long time, this will just be the start. Our rights MUST be regained. Dont trade legal cannabis for chains. Dont capitulate where the government is concerned or we will wake and bake in chains.

Government big enough to supply everything you need is big enough to take everything you have … The course of history shows that as a government grows, liberty decreases.
Thomas Jefferson (1743 – 1826)

I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.
Thomas Jefferson (1743 – 1826)

If people let government decide what foods they eat and what medicines they take, their bodies will soon be in as sorry a state as are the souls of those who live under tyranny.
Thomas Jefferson (1743 – 1826)

A little rebellion now and then…is a medicine necessary for the sound health of government.
Thomas Jefferson (1743 – 1826), Letter to James Madison, 1787

We must not let our rulers load us with perpetual debt.
Thomas Jefferson (1743 – 1826), letter to Samuel Kercheval, July 12, 1816

The price of freedom is eternal vigilance.

R.O.E. you are my hero. You are correct in saying our freedoms have been under assault for a long time. I pray that the eventual legalization of marijuana is not the last just thing we do in this country. In my opinion we should try and get the government’s long arms out of other places where they shouldn’t be. Our “free market” economy hasn’t been free in a long time thanks to good ‘ol Uncle Sam.

does protesting in that matter really mean anything, are they helping or hurting the cause. are there investigations into this “wrongful” termination.
