Here in CT our Gov. vetoed a bill to allow the use of marijuana for medicinal purposes. With all the evidence proving it's benefits, I think it's criminal to deny patients the only natural medicine that helps.

CT also has a decrim. law moving through the gold dome. I will be very happy if this passes. (campfire at my house) For those of you who already have a decrim. law...has anything changed?

I call for all the MJ supporters to stop using household drugs like Tylenol, Advil, etc. Use your natural medicine and bury these criminals. Unfortunately they would probably receive "bailout" or "money that now allows the govt. to control your business" money.

I don't care what the media thinks about weed and how much they approve of it. They just come up with an ocasional pro marijuana, to shut up whoever is asking for their rights to be heard . and BTW they're not so pro marijuana they use vague words and always have a disapointed look in their face.

We need help in Pennsylvania also. We have a rep introducing a bill in the house in the coming weeks. So any one in PA please right your reps asap. Get the word out to your friends and any one who will listen. call your local papers and radio stations, do anything to get this out. Get the truth out there. The truth and our will can set this in motion and keep the ball rolling.
             Thanks, Andy

has anyone noticed that in the comment section under the articles that support legalization, the opponents don't seem to understand the concept of regulation....the posts sound as if they believe we are calling for an anarchistic drug use free for all in the streets wich will lead to a murderous orgy of rape , robbing and pillaging?? We almost already have that due to the lack of regulation.....not so much by the users themselves but those who run the trade.

Three talking points to keep in front of news people or politicians:
1) Between the money spent on finding, arresting, prosecuting, and locking up marijuana users AND the lost opportunity for tax revenue on the individual's purchase of this widely used product, our national pocketbook is losing out on tens of billions of dollars every year.
2) To collect taxes from the grow-your-own community, we could consider a $100 per year permit for a dozen plants, splitting the proceeds between the Federal government and the participating State(s).
3) It's time to put the criminal drug dealers out of business and let ordinary Americans pay a fee to grow a little marijuana in their own back yards.

Bruce & MPP,

Though you may already be informed, recently in Florida there has been some good news for both patients of Florida who should be able to utilize the benefits of medical marijuana, as well as the larger community who suffers from the drug war propaganda that has allowed good people to be imprisoned.
I am writing because I want to see larger organizations spreading the word about this campaign in Florida. Our state needs informed citizens to take part in this campaign. We need truth and knowledge to spread so that our opressive laws can be changed for the better. We need justice, not condemnation and ridicule. With a majority of the state calling for medical marijuana in 1997, the numbers have, i assure you, increased. I would be willing to bet 70% of Floridians would vote to decrim. and permit the medical use of marijuana. The politicians have other ideas, and we need to rally support.

Information on the FLORIDA campaing that seeks to allow the medical use of marijuana, can be found at http://www.pfmm.org/

I have been sending out emails and talking about it like crazy...and hope to see the news spread to the larger org's. like MPP, NORML and LEAP, to help spread the word.

The biggest problem facing marijuana reform is people simply expect instant gratification. It takes many years folks or you can move to a State where it's legal now at least by State Laws like California. Otherwise, suck it up and fight for your rights. I'm tired of the crap myself. No one hates war more than experienced Veteran warriors.
