Former Reagan Official Advocates Marijuana Regulation
Bruce Fein served as a high-ranking Justice Department official during the Reagan administration, and has since gone on to work for conservative think tanks such as the American Enterprise Institute and the Heritage Foundation. Now, as a member of the “Just Say Now” advisory board, he’s joined the growing number of conservatives who are calling for a legal and regulated marijuana market.

Wow, I think that was one of the most positive national media discussion/interview I’ve seen. Most of them turn into a huge argument, but I guess they really didn’t have someone on in opposition to legalization.
finally people are coming to their senses, hope to se more videos like this one.
There were a lot of young conservatives who thought President Reagan was a hero including myself until the second term when his wife, Nancy Reagan, took over. There were other blunders as well which took effect after his presidency. But the biggest and the worst social change was when Nancy Reagan took on the American public with her “Just Say No” campaign, and recreated the craze of draconian hatred towards marijuana by using a different approach, exploiting children.
Hmmm, watching that video this was reeeally unusual for me. Is it normal for news anchors in the U.S. to tell their audience what they think about the topics they report about? This would be soo unimaginable in Germany… Someone who reads the news has to be 100% neutral on anything here, and I kinda think that’s a good idea… Report it, maybe have guests like this conservative ex-reagan guy express their opionion, but then move on and let the viewers think for themselves…
I almost think I liked it better when most people couldn’t see the rationality in making marijuana legal. Nowadays with more an more people seeing the truth and yet prohibition still exists and in some cases has increased, is completely absurd. Most likey only to strengthen the point that people are controlled PERIOD, no need to sugar coat this anymore.
Best i can see happening Is a movement to have sane non-lazy people hold positions in police an ohe enforecement agancies an be able to better plice which laws they enforce.
My sister has been getting harrassed and having all more and more of her property damaged by an ex and constant threats, though the cops will do nothing. I bet if we tell him we saw he had a joint they’d jump right on it.
What’s the holdup, let’s get going with marijuana AND hemp production.
Last night on E! they were showing police at the New Orleans Mardi Gras. People that were drinking were getting out of control, loud, obnoxious but the police were sniffing out the pot smokers who were quiet, non-intoxicated and brutally arresting them over the drunks. God, I hated watching that show! Thank God for the internet so we can educate people. BTW, pot cures cancer
Stefan, yes that is normal in this country. People here are stupid and need to be told what to think by media outlets because most of the time they are far too lazy to do their own research or form their own opinions.
Joel: BINGO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I need less talk and more action

People have been intentionally dumbed down. Maddow is nothing but the left side of the false paradigm of American politics. Take her, then the other side and it is easy to see why Americans are ignorant and brainwashed (but not necessarily stupid).
If you consume that garbage, you will become that garbage (you are what you eat, sorta thing). This happens to even the smartest people in the world, apparently.
President Nixon did publicly admire the Soviet Union’s ability to control the media.
Holt Smokes! Mr. Fein hits a home run with his comments. Yes, this is a conservative issues, but also a liberal issue. It is an issue for all Americans. The War on Drugs is a complete failure with no results oversight and a huge payroll. Just say Now!

Grassroots action. Take your cell phone and video your local sheriff while asking him to clarify how he will enforce marijuana laws in regards to cancer patients etc… This is a very grassroots elected position in every county of Minnesota. Don’t let these people hide anymore.

In Louisiana there is no public intoxication laws so the police on Bourbon street can not arrest people for just being drunk it has to be something else. I live in Louisiana and I understand where your coming from but they are not breaking any laws by just being drunk, even if it is in public.
If prop 19 don’t pass I’m going to commit suicide. Fed up living in a world ruled by hypocrisy and ‘moral’ dictators. Contrary to popular belief it’s even worse outside the US. Third world monkeys in particular. Mark these words. Start the ripple. Chill out and smoke a doob? Fuck that shit man. Fuck it. How can you be happy when you are hunted down like some fucking animal?!

Hang in there, friend. Prop 19 might or might not pass, but either way it won’t be the end of the game. There are a LOT of people starting to put together movement for the 2012 election cycle; we’ve seen a lot of progress in recent years, and more and more every year. Keep on working for progress, and spread the word on how to REGISTER to VOTE (young potential voters might not have taken care of this yet, so help get them REGISTERED!).
Californians: register to vote at
h t t p s://w w w .sos.ca.gov/nvrc/fedform/ Just remove the spaces from the link, paste it into your browser, fill out the form and mail it in!
Other states: Google your state name and “voter registration” to find out how to register!
