Vermont On Course for Dispensaries

On Thursday, May 5, the Vermont House of Representatives voted 99-44 to approve an amended bill that would allow four well-regulated non-profit medical marijuana dispensaries throughout the state.

I am pleased to announce that the Senate has approved the amendments, and the bill is now on its way to the governor to be signed into law!

It is expected that Gov. Peter Shumlin will approve the bill. He has stated his support for marijuana reform publicly in the past and has been a consistent ally.

Hopefully, with Gov. Shumlin’s help, medical marijuana patients in Vermont will soon be able to access the highest quality medicine safely and affordably.

Full out relegalization renders medical marijuana moot.

Let’s quit beating around the bush and get it done!

complete legalization of industrial and medical is the only answer, or keep on spending your tax dollars so lawyers can play adversarial process bureaucracy and rob you blind of your Constitutional rights.

Off topic, but they just sentenced a black man in New Orleans to life in prison for being “a repeat offender”. 4 times he was caught with a harmless plant. The jury said give him 15 years, but the wannabeahereo ASSistant DA argued for life in prison based on the repeat offender clause. So now the 35 year guy is in jail for life.

Glad to hear we are moving forward. Let’s make sure Governor Shumlin signs this bill and begins the legal sale of marijuana in the state of VT. I hope one of the 4 dispensaries are in Burlington!! Does anyone know how to begin the process of opening one of these dispensaries?
