Charles C. Lynch sentencing this week
The long, sad story of Charles C. Lynch should take a major turn this Thursday, June 11, when Judge George Wu is expected to finally determine a sentence for the federally-prosecuted but state-legal medical marijuana provider. MPP has joined Charlie’s defense team and many supporters in calling for as lenient a sentence as possible in this tragic case of federal interference with California’s voter-approved state law.
Our friends over at Reason TV released this new video, aptly set to the tune of “Whipping Boy” by Chris Darrow, to help raise awareness of Charlie’s plight.

F. Aaron Smith, fitting Phuck him! I brought this to this boards attention before Memorial Day, and now 3 days before sentencing, you try to sympathise to raise money for the cause.

Robert, I’m not sure what you are trying to say with your negative comments. How am I trying to use this to raise money? This blog has been following Mr. Lynch’s case since we started it, so I’m not sure what your complaint is about.

We’re all wondering what #1 is ranting about, maybe he’ll clearify in his next comment.
Mean while back at the subject matter, Charles Lynch’s case doesn’t make any sense, especially with the new White House Policy on Dispenseries in States with MJ programs. We can’t help but wonder who’s really at the wheel driving this country. This is exactly the type of insane policy that starts wars, cost countless people their lives and the only thing to look forward to is a break down of our justice integrity. Anything and everything that happens to Federal personnel and it’s organization will be well deserved if Charles Lynch is sentenced.
President Obama just can’t do enough to save this country for whatever reason, so we’re going to save ourselves on an individual basis or we’ll all be under continuous attack from foreign and demestic forces.
Senator Barnie Frank said it best and no one took him seriously when he said, “Federal agencies should stay away from States with approved marijuana programs.”
How long do you think people are going to put up with this craziness? It’s like watching for the big earthquake and you know it’s coming!

If thousands of citizens charged the courthouse this would stop. I know violence is not the answer but taking a rational approach has not worked for the last 70 years. If the feds feared a citizen uprising, laws would change rapidly.
This sure would not help the DEA’s image, but they’re probably feel that justice has been served against the marijuana lovers.
I’ve wonder what would president Obama think of this?
Is the federal government afraid of the DEA?
Until Washington turns us in a new direction to really address the core issue of controlling and regulating Marijuana we will have to endure more of the same. And the Broken bodies and the ruined lives keep piling up. Legislators who are continuing the Prohibition are the one’s with blood on their hands. Congress has a bloodlust problem!!!

Charles Lynch is the embodiment of a saint. He helped people and the DEA didn’t want him helping sick people to feel better.
The DEA does NOT want sick and dying people to have their medicine.

Third and most important topic of this post,,Mr Lynch. I hope the judge sees the light. Lynch is NOT a criminal! I dont care if he were selling outside the despinsary, he and anyone else who choose to use cannibis are NOT criminals.
So here we are,You have a poilce chief (L.A.)saying that a law that permits some control over who sells cannibis is looney. As usual these people(law enforcement and drug warriors) would rather have people,sick or not,buying it on the street. They would rather lock you up and ruin your life than TRY to have some system that would remove arrest and ruining of your life. They do this even though they know theres no way to stop cannibis or hard drugs from being sold on the streets. Oh and yes our WONDERFUL government announced they are stepping up efforts to not only stop the flow of cannibis and hard drug into the USA,but they are stepping up the effort to stop the use of said products. I dont know about any of you,but to me that means they are willing to escalate the war on the american people. When are they gonna wake up,we are free people and wont stand for it! The question is…how close to the edge will they push the people ..on all fronts…not just prohibition…before we have no choice but to push back. HELLOO BIG GOVERNMENT….ARE YOU THERE? Tennessee Activist, I wonder sometimes also. How can people openly lie and call it the truth and expect Us to beleive it? Is our government,or the governments of the worldfor that matter, just a puppet show?
Tenn and ROE, its pretty simple to explain why people are so brain washed. In the old days, before my time, it was honor, courage, and family. When pot became illegal and stayed illegal because of lies, the lies were considered truth because we didnt have the internet, tv, news, etc. so people had to listen to their neighbors and the local gossip at the drug store or gas station. Back then, if someone said something, it would be dishonorable to lie. But how could anyone prove what they were saying about pot was a lie? Most of the people that were using back then were black or mexican, and we all know that it was a black and white world back then, so they made up lies that had to deal with their kids getting “involved” with other races. And ROE, I do think that our government, atleast congress and up, are controlled by puppeteers who I think are the big corporations that we just bailed out, AIG, Chevy, etc. oh, and phillip morris probably has a hand in the prohibition of pot, since it would easily become the new tobacco…
the federal government has pretty much become obsolete, politicians make our world a worse, less fair, less friendly place. Until people realize that giving the feds the “floor” only makes thing worse and that action on the individual level is the only way to change this country, we will continue to be pushed around. my great aunt always said “to make the world a better place,you must first make yourself a better person” individuals must take action, not rely on politicians to make it for us. I really wish i could be there at Mr. Lynch’s hearing to show my support, everyone who is anywhere near and able to attend should, just by being present and supporting Mr. Lynch is like flipping the bird to the government.
‘Sounds like someone stole the surprise from somebody’s cereal. Yipes! I believe that presenting a rational and civil viewpoint or debate is what we are here for. I perceive that this post made by Mr. Smith was timed accurately or else it wouldn’t have been posted when it was. These people KNOW what they are doing! Did you read that the MPP has now joined Charlie’s defense team? THAT”S GREAT!!! Please Robert, they really are trying very hard in an extremely difficult uphill battle. They need support just as much as we do.
Also, things get done sometimes without any fanfare or Posts of progress. I’m sure the MPP.org would have responded to a Civil and rational letter that suggests helping Charlie. I can tell you that if you cuss like that in any letter to anyone, it’s very unlikely that you would receive a reply of any real substance other than offence. May I suggest 10 mg of Prozac 2x a day…at first, then regulate as you go.
Charlie, my heart and sincere prayers go out to you. I’ve awaited sentencing in a small issue once and I KNOW how taxing the wait can be on ones nerves. It’s a living nightmare. I couldn’t imagine being so high-profile that the whole world knows. It could help him and it could hurt him. I believe that if we all get going RIGHT NOW, we can exert some influence on Judge Wu sentence by E-mailing and calling his office.

Thanks, all. To be clear, MPP is not part of Mr. Lynch’s defense team — we’re just helping to draw attention to the case and of course working to change the morally bankrupt laws that led to his conviction in the first place.

There is no such thing as equal justice in the federal system. The rules have changed. That is why congress are doing some investigating on this matter because politics over a period of time have a way of screwing things up. The system always changes no matter what. It should not be ignored.

Charlie is a good friend on mine. I worked with him writing software for eight years.
The case is tragic. LA county has over 600 dispensaries… SLO county had 1 and now it has zero.
The DEA is a waste of money and the people that accept that assignment are traitors to the American way of life.
Year and a day… which is the exact amount of taxes I think we should ALL refuse to pay.
