Another California Poll Finds Overwhelming Support for Open Medical Marijuana Sales
Last week, I posted the results of the MPP-commissioned poll showing that despite outrageous claims being made by local officials, there is wide support for medical marijuana among Los Angeles County voters. A new poll now shows that support for medical marijuana access isn’t confined to Los Angeles.
A poll released Wednesday in San Diego found super-majority support for medical marijuana in that city. The poll — commissioned by addiction recovery Web site keepcomingback.com — found 77% agreement that “officials must make sure that San Diego’s medical marijuana patients have convenient access to their medicine in the city.” 70% support regulating the city’s medical marijuana collectives in some way, while only 9.5% support banning them (3% said they didn’t need any regulations). The poll also collected other interesting information about how San Diegans view medical marijuana sales. Read more about it here.
This poll should send a firm message to San Diego County District Attorney Bonnie Dumanis, who just last month ordered a series of shocking raids on local medical marijuana patients and suppliers.

I can only hope that California legalizes cannabis soon. Preferably through the Tax, Regulate, and Control Cannabis Act of 2010, or the California Cannabis Initiative as it is sometimes called. It is the superior initiative, with the better law.
Just check out this amazing picture that compares the two proposed leading initiatives: http://www.californiacannabisinitiative.org/images/stories/comparing_initiatives4_552.gif
Just goes to show how a few think they have the right to ignore the many. These officials will fight to the end. To them the world is still flat. Time to take them on a trip.
The San Diego County District Attorney Bonnie Dumanis is just ticked off that the Chargers suck.
Why isn’t there a recent national poll? I would like to see a map of the u.s. with a state by state persentage. When there is such a call for change by so many and opposed by so few, I believe the few are almost history. Those that are against cannabis are slowly dying from old age and those that are not are the greediest of people. Greed has been the main reason cannabis is still illegal. California will be the example that the rest of the u.s. will follow. Just once I wish the Goverenment would go by science facts and not the doller. If they did ciggarettes would be against the law and cannabis would be legal. Keep tokin and overgrow big bro.
We kept on squeaking, and we’ll get greased.

i really believe that peer reviewed studies that are being done in cannabis research will be the cause of the walls to come down. It is becoming very apparent that the goverment has lied to us all to keep their war of terror on the citizens going for a long time. One by one we are debunking these cannabis myths and gaining our approval %.
Raiding people for growing a plant obviously shows lack of better things to do, and rather waste money on someone growing their own medicine. Now they wonder why they are so far in debt. These raids are unnecessary. The people are speaking, but of course the government isn’t listening, or care about science…but what can you do in a high-mass consuming society? Good article!
Attorney Bonnie Dumanis must know that San Diego residents are not her subjects to be toyed with because of her desire to give pain.
no surprise there…. good to know tho!

This is judge Gray’s testimony in the AB 390 bill public saftey hearing for cannanbis legalization in CA. I think this may be the blue print.
c #11…. i was so happy that judge gray got the last word in that hearing….. if you dont count the 30 second testimonials after….
I posted that link today on two headlines links in my local paper today about closing mmj co-ops. It was really powerful testimony. I doubt anyone looked at the links, but since blogging for over a year in my paper on almost every cannabis headline almost nobody is calling me out to verbally spar anymore.
listen to the recorded calls on my below link….then check the Wacko frm WalnutCreek who called in

Gayle Francis is the DA’s best friend. She’s the alternative jailer.
RevRay Green, #14 – great link. However, you mentioned the nut job from Walnut Creek, but failed to mention the other sick wackos on there. At first it ticked me off, but now I am amused by them. I think you should save those messages, so in a few years when we are all high legally, we’ll have something to laugh about.
The Feds and local police can’t take their foot off the accelerator, and they are speeding straight for legalization.
Let’s see them raid 1,000 dispensaries in LA and not find it totally legal in 2010, right out from under them.
